Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney

Dating Drama!

Fan girls (and boys) of Norman Reedus (Daryl) might just be able to breathe easier tonight, as I might have said that Norman was dating former co-star, Emily Kinney (Beth), but late last night, Norman’s rep did the rounds to set the record (at least for now) straight.
The rep contacted most of the major news networks to say, “We can confirm that they are not dating.”
If you’re a shipper of Daryl and Beth and this makes you sad, don’t fret. Reps are notorious for saying people aren’t dating (or divorcing) and later we find out they are. So, fear not! Maybe they are and maybe they aren’t. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.

Casting Kids for Season 6!

Yesterday I announced some of the new characters that would be coming to Season 6. Today, the announcement comes in the form of children. Apparently, Season 6 will be featuring at least a few children, occasionally, on The Walking Dead. The circulating casting notice states:
“For upcoming super featured role – will require an audition could become a speaking role – we are looking for two African-American girls – one around 4 years old and one around 11 years old — Also a Caucasian boy around 10 years old with short or buzzed brown hair — email a recent photo, any experience and contact info to: ecapromos@gmail.com ASAP”
Obviously, at this point there isn’t much being said other than the fact that these kids may not even have speaking roles, though they aren’t leaving that possibility out. It’s likely these are kids in the community, but it’s possible they are from one of the other groups.
The Walking Dead Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con Panels!

For those of you who will be lucky enough to be heading to Comic-Con in July (I’ll be at NYCC in October) both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead are going to have panels in the coveted, Hall H, at SDCC. The Walking Dead kicks things off on Friday, July 10, from Noon – 1 PM.
Attendants include Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Lenny James (Morgan), Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Melissa McBride (Carol), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Chandler Riggs (Carl), and Steven Yeun (Glenn). Also appearing will be showrunner Scott M. Gimple and executive producers, David Alpert, Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman, and Greg Nicotero.
The Fear The Walking Dead panel takes place directly after. The executive producers will remain for the second panel and be joined by Ruben Blades (Daniel), Cliff Curtis (Travis), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia), Kim Dickens (Madison), Frank Dillane (Nick), Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris), Mercedes Mason (Ofelia), and Elizabeth Rodriguez (Liza).
It makes perfect sense to have a panel, even though the show has not hit the air yet. Thanks to the popularity of The Walking Dead, this companion series is almost a guaranteed success. In fact, the network is so certain that Fear The Walking Dead is going to be a hit that they have already granted the show a second season!
