The Walking Dead Wins at The Saturn Awards!
The 41st Annual Saturn Awards just happened and The Walking Dead was not only there, they won a few awards! These prestigious awards are handed out by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films to promote and officially recognize these genres that often go ignored at traditional award shows.Melissa McBride, who plays Carol, was on Twitter during the awards and posted this shot of her with other TWD cast members Andrew Lincoln and Emily Kinney, both who were nominated at the awards.
The Walking Dead was nominated in the following categories:
Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series: The Walking Dead won!In this category they were up against such shows as 12 Monkeys, American Horror Story: Freak Show, Continuum, Falling Skies, Salem, and The Strain.
Best Actor in a TV Series: Andrew Lincoln won as Rick & tied with Hugh Dancy (Hannibal)
Others nominated include, Grant Gustin (The Flash), Tobias Menzies (Outlander), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), and Noah Wyle (Falling Skies).
Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series: Melissa McBride won as Carol!
Others nominated: Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who), Caroline Dhavernas (Hannibal), Lexa Doig (Continuum), and Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead).

Best Guest Performance in a TV Series: Wentworth Miller (The Flash) won
Other nominees include: Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter), Neil Patrick Harris (American Horror Story: Freak Show), John Larroquette (The Librarians), Michael Pitt (Hannibal), and Andrew J. West (The Walking Dead).
All in all, The Walking Dead topped the awards with 7 nominations and they won 3. Not bad!
The Walking Dead Cruise!
You know what’s better than going to a con and seeing the actors from The Walking Dead? Going on a cruise with them! The Norwegian Cruise Line has partnered with sea marketer Sixthman and Walker Stalker Con to transform the Norwegian Pearl into a zombie playground for fans of The Walking Dead television shows and comic books!
The Cruise dates are January 15-18, 2016, where guests will leave from Miami, FL and travel to Nassau, Bahamas. Many TWD stars are already signing on for the cruise and it’s likely that others will sign on, as well.

The first 1,000 guests to book will receive an autographed lithograph from Norman Reedus!
Prices start at $750 for double occupancy, but they include all meals, accommodations, and use of the ship’s amenities. You also have access to the Q&As, panels, and other TWD themed activities. The only thing activity wise you need to pay for is zombie makeup, and photos and autographs from your favorite celebrities. Things like gratuity are not covered.
