The Woodcreek Faction YouTube channel just created a fun little mashup with our favorite show and the theme from Friends. Apparently it’s true what some say about opposites attracting because you might not expect The Walking Dead and Friends to work together, but it actually fits better than you’d imagine.
A lot of that probably has to do with some of the Friends theme song. Instead of the dark and brooding lyric-less opening that signifies the coming of danger, the Friends theme song offers The Walking Dead some pretty spot-on lyrics, even though I’m sure when the song was written they weren’t intending for the Friends theme to fit a zombie apocalypse.

So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year

I’m pretty sure no one foretold the zombie apocalypse and it hasn’t been anyone’s year for quite some time. The only thing debatable in here is the line about having a love life. Maggie and Glenn are going strong, at least for now (you never know what can happen in an apocalypse), but for everyone that has lost someone, they’ve had a chance to see them again in most cases…of course, the second time around they are zombies, so that could kill any relationship.
Anyway, with the new season of The Walking Dead, this light-hearted video was well-timed. I was never a big fan of Friends, but found this to be pretty cute.
