The Walking Dead Midseason Return Announced

The Walking Dead Midseason Return Announced

Zombies
I know the sixth season of The Walking Dead just started last night, but AMC has announced when the show will return from its midseason break this winter. Traditionally, The Walking Dead has aired each season in two parts, with the first half airing with the fall premieres and the second half airing, midseason, sometime in the winter.
Generally, the midseason break occurs sometime after January, but it really just depends on the amount of episodes in the season, and when the show takes the midseason break. In this case, The Walking Dead will end its midseason break on the most romantic day possible, Valentine’s day. That’s right, the second half of season six returns on February 14, 2016. This is probably the best present that AMC could have ever given zombie-loving, super fans.
The sixth season of The Walking Dead will include more zombies and could include a number of important elements from the comics. So far, we know that Morgan (Lennie James) has been added as a full-time cast member for the new season and that at least part of the season will take place in Alexandria. Paul Monroe, an important part of the comics, will be introduced as a character in season six, as well. Finally, if you watched the season premiere last night you know that the Wolves are coming and they could end up being more dangerous than the zombies.AMC announced the midseason return during a premiere event during New York Comic Con at Madison Square Garden. Over 15,000 people attended.
Here is the extended preview for next Sunday’s episode, entitled, “JSS.”
