Fans know Lauren Cohan as the magnificent Maggie on AMC’s hit The Walking Dead, but when she’s not slaying zombies she is often working on other film projects. One of her most recent projects is the feature horror film, The Boy. Horror films don’t often get a lot of attention, but thanks to Cohan’s presence, the trailer for The Boy has already received millions of views in the few days since it was released.

In The Boy, Lauren Cohan plays an American Nanny that has moved to the English countryside to care for a young boy. The strange parents have very specific instructions requiring the care of their son, but things take a strange turn when the Nanny realizes that the boy is actually a life-sized doll, not a real boy.
When the parents leave her alone with the boy, she ignores the instructions because he isn’t a real boy. Unfortunately, strange things start happening as a result of her neglect for the boy doll and that’s when things get scary. Creepy instances begin happening in the large house where the family lives and the Nanny has trouble making sense of what’s happening. Before long, the young girl is involved in dire consequences trapped in this countryside estate with only a doll in her company.
