Season 6 Character Spoilers & Reedus and Kinney Romance Rumors

Is it October yet? Sadly, no. It’s not even August. What that means for obsessed fans (like me) is that we have to wait a few months for our favorite show and new, possibly favorite spin-off, to flood the airways. Next month, when Comic Con hits California, the first official trailer will hit the Internet. Until then we have to wait, and while we wait, we might as well talk spoilers in terms of new characters, and toss around some predictions.

New Characters!

TWD has never shied away from adding (and taking away) characters. Unless you’re a part of Rick’s group your life is definitely uncertain, and even if you are, that doesn’t mean much (Sorry, Beth!). With Season Six, Rick and the others try to acclimate to life in Alexandria. However, in this world, nothing is as easy as it seems. The Wolves are still out there, alive, but battered, and likely looking for revenge. There are also plenty of new characters on the horizon – some who will be sticking around and others that are listed as guest stars.

Corey Hawkins (Non-Stop) is cast as Heath! In the comics, Heath appears in #69. He doesn’t necessarily play a big role in Alexandria, though he is present for some critical moments. He also is a supply runner that makes sure supplies get into Alexandria. Just because he doesn’t play a big role in Alexandria in the comics doesn’t mean anything, since the show has strayed in many things, and continues to take its own path.
A new couple comes in the form of the currently uncast, Kirk and Hilda; both characters are in their mid-20s to mid-30s.
Kirk’s description states, “Just a couple years ago, he was a young, blue collar everyman from a small town, who worked a job, was married, and followed the golden rule. He’s avoided being cynical and bottom line minded — but the world seems to keep telling him to look out for number one and eliminate anyone in his way.”
Meanwhile Hilda is described as, “Attractive, Kirk’s wife, she’s a real partner to him. She’s a strong woman, not passive or wilting.”
It’s worth speculating that Hilda might be one of the deaths we see in Season 6. While the actor that plays Kirk needs to be available for future seasons, the actress playing Hilda does not. So, either the casting director is being purposely devious (it happens!) or Hilda won’t be sticking around for too long. The bigger question is whether or not Kirk is based on Dwight, and if so, does that mean The Saviors are heading to the show, finally?
The other big casting notice comes in the form of an uncast actress that will play “Allison,” a character that could possibly take the role of Dr. Cloyd, the doctor in the comics that has a relationship with Heath. The casting notice for Allison states, “Female, late 20s to early 40s. A smart, artful, and charming psychologist who quickly turns awkward and messy when it comes to her personal life. She’d much rather stay safely inside her comfort zone, but the true test of her mettle comes when the comfort’s gone and the stakes are life and death. She’s not cynical and really cares about people.”
So, who are you looking forward to watching?

In other news, apparently Love is in the Air!

It’s being reported that two very popular TWD actors are being romantically linked. Can you guess which ones?
Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney

While it may or may not be true that Daryl (Norman Reedus) could end up being gay on the show, in real life he’s rumored to be dating former co-star Emily Kinney (Beth).
A source has stated that Reedus and Kinney have always had a connection, but it was only just recently that a romance developed. The source went on to say that where the relationship is concerned, “They are still pretty guarded about it.”
Despite being killed off last year, Kinney (29) and Reedus (46) stayed in touch through text messages and fan conventions. Reedus has also been spotted at Kinney’s concerts.
Kinney has been quoted talking about Reedus saying, “Everyone reached out, though I remember Norman texted me – he’s so sweet.” She also admitted to taking the turtle shell that Daryl gave Beth on the show, everywhere she goes.
You can see the adorable (maybe) couple at their next fan convention. They will be appearing at Walker Stalker Con in Orlando, FL, on June 27 and 28.
